Harley Canovas

Specialist Sonographer

I qualified as an HCPC registered diagnostic radiographer BsC (Hons) in 2003 from St Martin’s College University of Lancaster and completed a PgD in medical ultrasound in 2006 from the University of Hertfordshire . Further specialised post graduate study and training in musculoskeletal ultrasound was achieved in 2016 at the University of Cumbria. A focused head and neck programme was undertaken in 2021-22 working closely with the ENT and endocrine teams at Addenbrooke’s hospital, Cambridge University Hospital.

My radiography and ultrasound practice have been based at Addenbrooke’s hospital since 2003 to date. A one year (2009) ultrasound sabbatical in Queensland Australia introduced new areas such as vascular and breast ultrasound.

I am a member of the Children’s Imaging Group, currently hold the sole position as the MSK advanced practitioner sonographer and Specialist advanced practitioner sonographer for head and neck.
