Can I book a private ultrasound in Cambridge without a GP referral?
Yes, you can book directly with us at East Anglia Ultrasound. There is no need to wait for a referral from your GP. You can arrange your scan online or by phone. Most of our patients appreciate the freedom to self refer, which helps them get answers and peace of mind sooner.
How long are the wait times for private ultrasound scans?
We focus on speed and convenience. At East Anglia Ultrasound, we offer same day appointments whenever possible, and results are provided on the same day as your scan. Our aim is to eliminate unnecessary waiting. In contrast, the NHS can require patients to wait several weeks for a diagnostic scan, often due to backlogs and administrative delays.

How long does a private ultrasound take and when will I get my results?
Most scans are completed within fifteen to forty five minutes. You will usually receive immediate verbal feedback during your appointment, and we provide a full written report on the same day. Our process is designed to be much faster than the NHS, which can take several days or even weeks to deliver reports.
