Abdominal Scans

  • Upper and lower Abdominal Scan to determine the shape, size and appearances of the pancreas, liver, gallbladder, biliary tract, kidneys, urinary bladder, spleen and abdominal aorta. This is also to exclude abdominal ascites, cysts and masses.

    For clients with female reproductive organs: this is the primary assessment of the uterus, endometrium and ovaries. This is also to identify presence of fibroids, polyps, ovarian cyst, masses, adenomyosis and endometriosis. For clients with male reproductive organs: this is a primary evaluation of the size, shape and appearances of the prostate gland.

  • Abdominal wall hernias to rule out different hernias including umbilical hernia, epigastric hernia and spigelian hernia

  • KUB (Kidneys and Urinary Bladder) : This is to determine the size, shape and echogenicity of the kidneys. Exclude renal masses, cysts, calculi and hydronephrosis. Assessment of the urinary bladder for any masses, stones, ureterocele and bladder wall thickness.
